Blooming Marvellous – Chelsea Garden Show Inspiration

Chelsea Garden Show 2014 was the place to be last month for floral inspiration and garden design.

Creative Director Nicola Briginshaw with Stylist Jill Newman visited last month to see what ideas and inspiration they could find for weddings and celebrations.

The creative juices were certainly flowing…there were hundreds of types of flowers on display in every colour imaginable, and the shapes and textures were out of this world.  The garden design and floral displays were simply breath taking.

Last Sunday we were invited to exhibit at the venues wedding fayre, and we had a great day. It was lovely to see how different events and weddings could use the space to suit customers celebrations.  From a classic wedding, something more funky or even a vintage tea party.

There was a vintage feel to the wedding fayre and Fuschia dressed two tables.  We dressed one in violet which had a more modern feel and our second table display was Vintage Lace inspired for a vintage afternoon tea party theme.

Our vintage table was the most popular,  as their were lots of  brides visiting the wedding fayre, who were having a vintage themed wedding.

Cute hand creams make great table favours for guests to take home and remember the special day.

Vintage Afternoon Tea Launch with Hotel Du Vin and Fuschia

Yesterday saw the launch of “Vintage Teas” with Hotel Du Vin and Fuschia.  It took place at the Henley-on-Thames Hotel Du Vin, which was a former Brewery.

We had a great turn out from industry professionals, press and PR.  Everyone was treated to a beautiful afternoon tea with a glass of fizz care of Hotel Du Vin.  Fuschia provided all the gorgeous decor for the room and tables, plus a goody bag to go home with!

Following the success of ‘The Tea Set’, Hotel du Vin have taken Afternoon Tea one step further and added the option of that vintage touch care of Fuschia. With two package options one with fizz the other with cocktails it makes for any celebration whether it be a birthday, hen party, anniversary or just to treat yourself.

Beautiful vintage table decor by Fuschia. Makes the food look even more delicious!  Use bunting as a table runner as well as to hang in the Hotel Du Vin venues.

Dainty sandwiches are served on gorgeous vintage food platters, a yummy selection of cakes are presented on three tier, colourful and patterned vintage cake stands.

Everyone loved the food and of course all the pretty tableware.  It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves and taking photos!

Fuschia – The Year Ahead…

Apart from the cold weather and the sight of snow.  We are excited to be back at work!  The Fuschia team have had a lovely long break to recharge the batteries, and of course work on our new projects for 2013.

A new trend for Weddings

We have seen over the past year a trend for some brides wishing to give gift favours as an alternative to sweets.  So to assist with this, Fuschia has some new wedding favours which are just gorgeous.  Mini hand creams, lip balms and bath bombs, these are really lovely gifts for ladies favours.

Vintage Trend

The vintage trend, like we predicted is growing more and more popular for weddings and celebrations in 2013.  We are very excited to be launching our new Vintage Paradise Pink collection in Spring.  We have already launched our vintage wedding and celebration stationery in which we have three collections.  Vintage rose and vintage lace which is available in two colour ways.

The new gift favours we have mentioned make a really nice vintage favour as the packaging is in pastel colours with a vintage feel to it.

Vintage Hen Hamper Celebration Ideas 2012 / 2013

You may remember a little while ago we launched a hen hamper for a vintage picnic or afternoon tea.

We thought we would share some photos from a recent event so you get a feel of what you can create whether you are planning a celebration at home, a venue or a festival etc.

This is a really nice idea if you are planning a hen celebration for 2013 as it would be perfect for Henley Regetta and Ascot.  As our British weather is not the most reliable you could take a gazebo and use the bunting to add some decoration.

   

All you need to do is bring the food and drink.  Pink lemonade looks oh so pretty in these vintage cups.  You can also put hot drinks in them too!

   

Don’t forget, also included in your hamper is sweet treats for guests in our gorgeous pink and red polka dot and stripy boxes.  Complete with vintage trivia card, sweet candy necklace and Fuschia’s signature shot glass, filled with dolly mixtures and packaged with pastel ribbon and feather.

Charity Tea Party For Sue Ryder – Henley Nettlebed

Last week Fuschia was involved with supplying table decor and vintage crockery and accessories for a charity Afternoon tea party.

   

Our mum held a small gathering at home to raise funds for Sue Ryder Hospice which is based in Nettlebed near Henley.  It is a special place to us as our Dad was there so we like to raise money for the up keep of the home.

Mum invited friends who she used to work with, as they have a ladies lunch once a month, so instead of them paying for lunch and drinks at a country pub or resturant she sugguested a donation to Sue Ryder.

  

Mum then provided all the food and drink for a gorgeous afternoon tea so all the money raised went to Sue Ryder.  Fuschia supported this by donating all the accessories free of charge to use for the afternoon.

We all had a lovely afternoon as Jacqueline, Mason and I attended.  It was so nice to catch up with everyone and the weather was lovely and raised £116 for Sue Ryder.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and helped towards the money raised, it is very much appreciated.

It is a great charity and really does require donations, so if you are interested in helping raise money or to make a donation please do not hesitate to contact them.
